Social advertizing in Russian Federation makes the world better

Social advertizing is not so effective in former Soviet Union as it may seem. Even lots of years ago social promotion took an important place in our life. All Russian citizens who lived in those years remember social posters and television spots where concepts of liability were declared. The following mottos were so much popular: “Save Soviet nature, it’s our mpther”, “Matches are not toys for girls” etc. All these social ads were sponsored by the government and created by governmental institutions. Nowadays everything has changed and we may find many different social advertising which is sponsored by Russian government, non-governmental companies and private persons. Much money is spent every month on various social campaigns which are supported by Russian media campaigns with video spots, social posters, mottos etc.
A lot of international foundations work on the territory of Russia and a great deal of social ads from all over the world can ve found at the moment in former Soviet Union. I am sure that it is really good as we have a unique chance to use best Ameriacan experience in the sphere of social promotion as our own traditions in this sphere are very weak but we have many thoughts and creative directors who can make all them visible. That’s why different contests of social advertizing are so popular now in former Soviet Union and many professional advertizing companies took an active part in such kind of competitions and if you enter RuTube you can find lots of social spots shooted by the leading local organizations but sometimes the visualization of social messages leaves much to be desired. Still there are quite a lot of interesting social advertisements on tobacco addiction and other issues. But certainly, we should always remember about the following situation in Russia and the main difficulties which the government has to solve. One of such problems is demographic decrease as too many people die in Russia and they understand that they should force families to give more births. As an example of social advertizing which concentrated on demographic difficulties we can mention social posters which were placed in Moscow metro with a lady with three girls on her knees. This post gives more questions rather than gives answers as there is no man on this poster and the lady looks not very happy.
I think that social promotion in former Soviet Union just starts its way and in the nearest future we will see lots of great examples of video spots and social posters as well as complicated social campaigns.
